Coachlines - October 2026

29.10.26 Assistant Nick Lyford

Join us at the St James’s Motoring Spectacle 2026

We have been invited back to participate in the Royal Automobile Club’s St James’s Motoring Spectacle on the 31st October 2026. Assistant Nick Lyford and Assistant Roger Woodbridge will be manning a Coachmaker stand to increase the awareness of our Livery, particularly in the work we do in Charity, STEM and investing in young people in the Automobile world. They are also looking out for new Livery members!

More info on the event itself is here; https://www.royalautomobileclub.co.uk/motoring/motoring-events/st-jamess-motoring-spectacle/ . One of the highlights is that you will be able to get up-close to rare pre-1905 cars – usually only seen in museums – and meet their proud owners, many in period costume specially for the occasion. Some 50 of the cars will compete in the St James’s Concours taking place simultaneously. The following day they will be making their way to Brighton in the Veteran Car Run.

The Pall Mall street outside the London Clubhouse is closed to moving traffic, so the whole family can enjoy this unique car festival in safety and style.

The event takes place in London Motor Week – the Club’s biggest week of the motoring year at the end of October and beginning of November – featuring seven action-packed days of motoring celebrations, including the Art of Motoring exhibition, industry dinners, lectures, and the RM Sotheby’s London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. Please visit the Veteran Car Run website for more information on the Spectacle.

We would be delighted to see many of you on the day and even more delighted if you would spare a couple of hours to man the stand with us promoting the community, fellowship and values of the Coachmakers.

If you would like to help us on the day, please let Assistant Nick Lyford know at epsom_lyfords@yahoo.co.uk
