Introducing our new Civic Team of the City 2024-25

Following the election of Sheriffs at Common Hall on 24th June for the ensuing year, the successful candidates were joined by the Senior Alderman Below The Chair for a photo shoot in Guildhall Yard. The presumptive Lord Mayor, subject to election, is our very own Alderman Alastair King DL (centre) joined by Aldermanic Shrieval Candidate-elect Gregory Jones KC (left) and non-Aldermanic Candidate-elect David Chalk (right).

Greg is proud to be the first serving silk in 800 years to be a Shrieval Candidate, he is a Leatherseller and practising Barrister. David is a Past Master Draper and operates a business providing care in the home for the elderly and infirm. This impressive trio will be our Civic Team together from the November silent ceremony right through to the September 2025 installation of Sheriffs.
