Please help the next Master, subject to election, ‘Escape from the Tower’

On 2nd September the Master Coachmaker for 2024/25 will be elected and installed after a rigorous selection process and democratically robust election. Spoiler Alert: the chances are that the successful candidate will be Steve Fitz-Gerald, the current Senior Warden.

However, even before he has been elected and installed he has been summoned to appear at the Tower of London on Thursday 5th September 2024 to take part in a challenge called: “Escape from the Tower”. What crimes might he have committed to be summoned with such alacrity? Does it matter? All that is known is that he enjoyed a long career in the defence industry.

On that basis alone it is almost certain that the only way he will successfully “Escape from the Tower” will be to hand over at least £1,500 to the Yeoman Gaoler of the Tower who has very “kindly” agreed to act on behalf of the British Red Cross Society, to which all bail monies will be donated.

He needs, nay pleads for your help by donating towards this bail money, all of which will go to the British Red Cross Society.

Please help because every Clerk needs a Master and every day the Master is incarcerated and absent from his place of duty, it is another day in which the new Clerk may find his life just a little too agreeable.… and we can’t be having that!
