Coachmakers’ Summer Court Dinner marks end of Livery Year
On 11th July, Master Coachmaker Bettine Evans hosted the Summer Court Reception and Dinner in the delightful Saddler’s Hall. This was the last formal event of the Livery year and during which our current Clerk, Commander Mark Leaning RN formally stepped down and Lt Col Craig Hallatt, was sworn in as the 29th Clerk to the Company.
The Master presented the awards of Coachmakers’ Coaching Bursary 2024 to the two successful candidates, Andrew Hogg from Scotland and Eleanor Stevens from South Wales. This Coaching Bursary was set up to inspire and educate young drivers interested in coaching, and to keep the traditional arts & skills associated with coaching, coach building, restoration and harness making alive.
