27.02.26 Assistant Roger Woodbridge
The Master and new Charity Chairman honour Committee heroes
At a recent Charity Committee meeting, the Master and the new Chairman, Assistant Roger Woodbridge, saluted those who are changing roles. Junior Warden Eric Wallbank previously chaired the meeting for five years and has done a sterling job developing the breadth and depth of our charity offering, and stays on as Deputy Chair. He received a book on Colin Chapman and his engineering, two of Eric’s favourite passions, as a thank you for his efforts.
Assistant Giles Taylor has been on the Committee for seven years. He is an international designer with true merit who created the modern XK Jaguar, the Rolls-Royce Phantom and now works for FAW in China. His work commitments have meant he is temporarily stepping off the Committee. He received a book on Ferrari design an appreciation of his devotion.
Group Captain Marcus Wills CVO OBE has retired from the Committee that he has been a member of for 30 years. A RAF Lighting pilot and Head of HM The Queen’s Flight, Marcus had an exemplary career in the RAF and served the Charity Committee with equal distinction. He will have his own send-off at a later date.
Those taking over new roles include Liveryman David Louzado, an investment banker at Investec specialising in aircraft finance. He takes on the mantle of Chair of Aerospace. Liveryman Helen Hoffman becomes Chief of Staff and has already started two special projects. Freeman Jack Watson used to work for Assistant Giles Taylor in Munich. He has just won a prize for designing a “giga yacht” and joins the committee to assist in the auto design section. Freeman Patryk Nelkowski, a previous Livery award winner, will join the Committee to assist Freeman Ellie Bacon on the Alumni team. This is to push our drive as ‘a Livery investing in young people.’
