Scholarship winner graduates with a first
“I am pleased to let you know that I have graduated from the University of Bath with a First Class Honours degree in Physics,” writes JLR Scholarship award winner Funmi Looi-Somoye.
“My final year project focused on the radiation risk nuclear power stations pose to the public and how various educational methods can facilitate communicating this risk. It was a pleasure to work with our client partner Sizewell C and fellow team-mates to investigate the public’s perception of nuclear energy and the role scientists play in informing the public.
“I am also delighted to announce that I will be joining the analytics graduate programme at Accenture next year.”
Readers may remember Funmi’s sister Abike, who thrilled the assembled company at one of our Aerospace Dinners, when she spoke to us about her tough journey from A Level disappointment to being awarded Industrial Cadet of the Year at Rolls-Royce PLC.
