New Freemen and Liveryman sworn at Election Court 2022

At the September Election Court meeting four freeman and one liveryman were sworn to the livery.

Liveryman Trevor Cooper

Trevor and Trudi Cooper live in Cobham, Surrey. Trevor was educated at Sedgehill School, Bellingham in Kent, and is a member of the London Stock Exchange and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. He is currently employed as Chief Investment Officer and Director at Naisbitt King Asset Management Ltd. In his spare time Trevor’s interests are motor racing and flying. He has a passion for Mercedes-Benz and is an active member at Goodwood and Brooklands.

Freeman Dominic Carter

Dominic lives in Muswell Hill with his wife Anne-Marie. He attended Durham School and Teesside University. He is the Group Chief Commercial Officer for News UK. He has many sporting interests including skiing, golf, tennis and squash. Additionally, in his spare time he enjoys eating out, films and reading.

Freeman Colin Basnett CBE

Colin hails from Camberley in Surrey where he lives with his wife Annette. He was educated at Brookway High School, Manchester before attending King’s College London where he took a Master of Arts Degree in Defence Studies. Colin was in the RAF for 33 years and has multiple military flying qualifications. He is currently Group Director Strategic Engagement for QinetiQ. His interests include skiing, golf, woodwork and DIY.

Freeman Edward Garnier

Edward’s home is in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, though currently he is a student at York University having previously attend Charterhouse. He is the son of Court member Assistant Mark Garnier MP. His interests include shooting (game, target rifle), the Officers’ Training Corps, polo and sailing.

Freeman Muhammad Khalid Hassan Ali

Muhammad lives in London. He was educated in Dubai at the International Academy, later moving to the University of Birmingham where he studied MEng Chemical Engineering with Business Management. He is Market Intelligence and Strategy Manager, Aerospace and Defence at Ultra Electronics Group. His interests include motorsports (F1), football, space exploration, sustainable engineering and history.
