Livery welcomes new members
At the Aerospace Industry Dinner held at the Clothworkers’ Hall in November we welcomed six new members who were clothed in the Livery.

David Connor
David Connor lives in Harpenden with his wife Sophie. He studied aerospace engineering at Solihull College and business management at Warwick University. He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute. When time allows his interests include aviation, music, travel and sport.

Trevor Conway
Trevor Conway, who lists among his interests cars and motorsport, is currently participating in the Caterham Academy Championship. Although retired, he undertakes some consultancy and lives with his wife Edita in Baldock, Hertfordshire.

Peter Grinsted
Peter Grinsted lives with his wife Jill in Liphook, Hampshire. He attended Kings’ College London, completing a MA in Defence Studies and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Open University. After a career in the RAF he retired as Air Commodore in 2016 and is now managing director of SharpEdge Associates. Peter is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and lists golf and travel as his interests.

Mark Barclay
Mark Barclay lives in Ascot with his wife Ainsley. Mark studied Mechanical and Production Engineering at Anniesland College and Stow College and has a BSc Honours from the Open University.
He is chief executive of UK Defence Solutions Centre and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. He lists family, dog walking and playing golf as his interests and has raised a staggering £40,000 since 2009 on behalf of Help for Heroes.

Philip Metcalfe
Philip Metcalfe lives with his wife Maria in Bournemouth. He attended the Royal Naval Engineering College, Cranfield University and the Royal Military College of Science. As Transformation Director, Maritime Land and Weapons at QinetiQ, the value to organisations and the UK, from the intangible aspects of business life such as tradition, history and culture, and how to secure value from these for the future, are of interest to Philip.

Stephen Wetton
Stephen Wetton lives in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. He took his law degrees at De Montford and Coventry Universities, he is a Group Captain Legal in the Royal Air Force. Stephen is also a Freeman of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots and Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Chartered Management Institute. His wide-ranging interests include motor vehicles, martial arts and acting as a flying instructor.
