Join us for the Inter-Livery clay pigeon shoot
The annual inter livery clay pigeon shoot took place at the prestigious Holland and Holland shooting ground on 16th May. The event took place over two days with a series of challenging targets presented, including the excellent team flush. Overall it was a relaxed and very enjoyable shooting day.
The weather was extremely pleasant and after shooting, teams returned to a rather excellent lunch and prize giving. More than 110 teams took part, a logistical challenge that was skilfully handled. The winning team, which finished 12th, was the Turners, with the Gunmakers expectedly taking the top score. The Coachmakers team comprising Robert Dover, Nick Brayshaw, John Boyes and Alastair Boyes achieved a creditable 32nd equal place.
Next year’s event takes place on Wednesday 13th May and is always an excellent day out. It starts with a good breakfast and concludes with a good lunch, with a wide range of entertaining targets to test your shooting skills in between. Anyone who shoots can join their fellow Liverymen and shoot for one of the Coachmakers’ teams on that date. For more details contact Liveryman Alastair Boyes at alastair_boyes@hotmail.co.uk
