Livery welcomes new Freemen and Liveryman November 2022
At the November Audit Court meeting, 10 Freemen and one Liverymen were sworn to the Livery.
Liveryman Jeff Stow
Jeff and his wife Susan live Water End, Hertfordshire. Educated in Hemel Hempstead, Jeff is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers. His interests include historic motorsport and aviation.
Freeman Jason Moseley
Jason and his wife Sadie are lucky to live in warmer climes, hailing from Orba, Alicante. He was educated at Coventry University and is CEO of Plenham Ltd. His automotive background includes roles at the RMI where he was a director and board member (Bodyshop Division) and as Chief Operating Officer at Thatcham.
He is a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry and the Institute of Directors. His charitable activities include working with BEN, the automotive charity. Jason lists weight training, cycling, tennis, cooking and movies as his hobbies.
Freeman John Richard Bryson
Richard and his wife Sarah live in Chiswick. Educated at Prior Park, Bath, Richard is now Managing Director & CEO of Rex Resorts & Rex Safaris.
Throughout his professional and social interests Richard strives to bring equity, diversity and inclusion to all organisations he is involved with. Amongst other charitable activities, he has been a member of the Honourable Society of Knights of the Round Table for more than 30 years. In his spare time he enjoys sailing, classic British sports cars and attending classic car events.
Freeman Simon James
Simon, his wife Nicolette and their two children live in Esher, Surrey. Simon studied at Imperial College, London where he gained an Executive MBA and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry. He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Institute of Directors, Institute of The Motor Industry and the Royal Society of Arts. He is currently CFO at the Institute of the Motor Industry.
Simon is involved in numerous charitable activities and when he has any free time music is an important part of life for Simon and his family. His outdoor pursuits include cycling, skiing, hiking and swimming.
Freeman Mark Jurd
Mark hails from Southampton where he was educated and now lives with his wife Sandra. He describes himself as a semi-retired entrepreneur. His interests range from rock music, weight training, to collecting books about carriage driving and carriages. He is a carriage driving enthusiast with his own pair of horses, a member and director of the English Road Club and the European Private Driving Club. He is editor of two carriage driving publications, The Road, and the Nimrod, with subscribers throughout Europe and the US.
Freeman Mark Rogers
Mark and his wife Stephanie live in Maidenhead. Mark gained his electronics and engineering qualifications from Norwich City College, Technical Training RAF Halton, Bournemouth College and Poole College. He is Head of Business Development & Sales at Charles Taylor Aviation Asset Management Ltd.
He is a trained listening volunteer and mentor with the Samaritans. His interests include cycling and scuba diving and also has his private pilot’s licence. Mark says, “I’m passionate about supporting the armed services and young talent into the aerospace sector.”
Freeman Adrian Moore
Adrian, his wife Rebecca and their two daughters live in Chapel Rowe, Berkshire. Adrian graduated from Hatfield Polytechnic gaining a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is CEO of Xtrac Limited.
Adrian lists many notable achievements within the automotive sector including the opening of the Xtrac Academy. He has associations with the Nasio Trust, Guide Dogs for the Blind and YMCA and has fund raised extensively for cancer charities. Interests include running, cycling & classic cars.
Freeman Andrew Palmer
Andrew and his wife Hitomi, live in Blakesley, Northamptonshire. Andrew studied at Coventry University, Warwick University, LBS and Cranfield University. Previously CEO Aston Martin Ltd and COO Nissan Motor Company Ltd, Andrew is now, among other roles, Exec Vice Chair & CEO of Switch Mobility Ltd. He lists as his achievements the creation of the Nissan LEAF and the Aston Martin DBX and Valkyrie. His charitable interests include The Palmer Foundation. “I have spent my life since I was 16 years old in the automotive industry. Now it’s time to contribute back.”
Freeman Roland Sonnenberg
Roland and his wife Carys live in Godalming, Surrey. He went to school in Co. Down, afterwards attending Birmingham University where he studied engineering. Roland is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Partner at Bain & Co.
In his spare time Roland enjoys golf, cycling, running and skiing. His reason for seeking membership of the livery is to join a great community of likeminded people interested and active in the aerospace and automotive sectors.
Freeman Julian Whitehead
Julian is President of ADS Group, a UK aerospace, defence, security and space trade body. He and his wife Rachel live in Letchworth Garden City. Julian attended Liverpool Blue Coat School and the University of Birmingham (Batchelor of Commerce). He is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society. His leisure activities include football, in particular watching Everton, golf, skiing and hiking.
Freeman Nicholas Williams-Howes
Nicolas lives in Putney with his wife Katie. He has attended Henley Business School, Kingston University, Coventry University and Oxford Air Training where he gained his Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence. He is currently Programme Director at the Department of Health and Social Care.
He is a mentor for the Prince’s Trust and Heropreneurs, and his hobbies include travel, motorcycling and flying.
