Join us for a round of golf

Spring is on our doorstep, although the recent storms probably made us feel just the opposite. We hope our fellow golfers are ready to play some golf with the Company starting at the New Zealand Club in April.

The Duchess of Gloucester Cup at The New Zealand Golf Club, near Byfleet on Tuesday 5th April

This really is a very special occasion and all Coachmakers, whatever their current golfing capabilities are, can participate and I encourage you to do so at this lovely course. The day is as usual, shared with the Leathersellers and any guests are also most welcome to join you. The cost for two rounds and lunch has unfortunately increased (the first time in four years) from £120 to £130 for the day per player. There is no limit to our numbers for this our main annual fixture.

Leathery Livery Golf Day at Hankley Common on Tuesday 12th April

This is a match where we need to field a team of four Coachmakers to play against the Girdlers, Leathersellers, Curriers, Cordwainers, Saddlers, and Glovers. The day will be the usual format of 18 holes 4BBB with each Company having two pairs battling for the extensive prizes and the honour of organising next year’s event! The cost of the day will be £125 per player and will include a three-course lunch. Our Captain will choose the team from available players.

The Price Arthur Cup at Walton Heath on Thursday 21st May

Again, we are looking to field a team of four Coachmakers to represent the Company at the Livery Companies’ Golfing Society’s annual event. The cost of the day for two rounds of 18 holes will be £133 per player and will include a three-course lunch. Again, our Captain will choose the team from available players.

The Horners Trophy at Ashridge Golf Club on Wednesday 15th June

We have been invited for the first time to join this inter-livery match and field a team of four for the magnificent Horners Trophy, at the equally magnificent Ashridge Golf Club. The competition will be played in team four-balls with the best two Stableford scores on each hole to count. The cost for the morning round and a carvery lunch is £125 per player. Again, our Captain will choose the team from available players.

The Coachmakers and Leathersellers Autumn Golf Day at Tandridge Golf Club on Thursday 29th September

This is our annual end of summer meeting where we play 18 holes in the morning and an afternoon round is optional. The cost per player is £134. This price includes green fees, bacon rolls and coffee on arrival and a four-course carvery lunch. This is a lovely course and a very convivial day and I recommend it to all Coachmakers.
