Coachmakers go on a celestial journey with Tom Hanks

On 12th October, the newly elected Master Coachmaker, Stephen Fitz-Gerald, was accompanied by some of his fellow Liverymen for an out-of-this-world visit to The Moonwalkers at the Lightroom. Narrated by Tom Hanks, this epic exhibition provides a unique perspective on humankind’s past and future voyages to the moon via state-of-the-art projection and audio technology.

The exhibit combines original NASA footage and breath-taking images from Andy Saunders’ Apollo Remastered. The show tells the stories of the Apollo missions, reflecting their gripping journeys at spectacular scale.

Newly filmed interviews between Hanks and astronauts of the current Artemis programme have granted an insight into the return of crewed surface missions to the moon. This exhibit closed the following day. What a well captured opportunity to see this incredible production.
