Coachmakers at the Goodwood Revival

Though there was no formal meeting for Liverymen at this year’s Goodwood Revival, many Liverymen, Stewards and Assistants managed to meet up at this year’s event.

As this was the 75th anniversary of motor racing starting at the Goodwood Circuit, the Revival was even more special this year.

Each day started with a magnificent fly-by of Spitfires, before a full programme of racing started. An unexpected downpour on Sunday interrupted what until then had been nothing but glorious sunshine – but it made for even more exciting action on the track.

Off the track Assistant Graeme Hunt offered hospitality amongst a fine display of classic cars on sale whilst at the Bonhams’ sale, among the many magnificent vehicles up for auction was Past Master Sarah-Jane Adams-Diffey’s lovely Bugatti 35B.

It was a wonderful and memorable three days of motorsport, aviation and fashion. Next year we hope once again to organise a get-together for Coachmakers, no doubt at the highly appropriate Spitfire Bar!
