When is a draw not a draw? When it’s a 100 Club Super Draw

The Coachmakers’ 100 Club Draw takes place four times a year. There are 100 subscribers and each subscriber pays £10 per month. Subscriptions may also be taken by family members or friends of Liverymen.

One half of all the money raised by subscriptions is transferred to the Coachmakers’ Charitable Trust account and half is paid out in prizes. For the first three quarterly draws 10% of the prize money is accrued and added to the fourth quarter’s prize fund; thus the first prize on offer is £1,600 and the second prize is £800. Hence the fourth quarter draw is known as the Super Draw and with a one in 100 chance of winning for each subscription the odds are very favourable.

Since the 100 Club Draw first started back in 2009 a sum of over £70,000 has been transferred to the Coachmakers Charitable Trust account and has contributed towards the annual budget paid out by the Charity Committee. We are an active Livery investing in young people and, during the pandemic, the Livery has spent unprecedented sums supporting young people whose education and careers have suffered so desperately.

Stop press

Unusually, a subscription has just become available and will be offered to the first person to send either an email or a text containing their email address to the draw promotor, Liveryman John Pearl.

Email address: johnwpearl@hotmail.com

Mobile number: 07854 046734

The lucky person who first contacts John will be sent an application form and copy of the rules. Subscriptions may be paid either by cheque or standing order but, in order to be eligible to enter into this year’s Super Draw, the £10 monthly subscription must be paid for each of the months from October to December.

The Super Draw is held in the Tallow Chandlers Hall after the Carol Service on Thursday 16th December. Provided you respond quickly, you could be participating in this Draw and who knows, you might have a welcome bonus of £1,600 to help with the Christmas presents.

Good luck!
