The Fundraising Committee: Please come and join us

The Coachmakers’ Charitable Trustees and committees undertake extensive search and analysis of worthy young people in our industries and grant awards, bursaries and scholarships accordingly. To do this they need a steady and increasing flow of funds to finance the awards. They also need to top up their investment reserves which will, of course, lead to increasing investment income.

The Fundraising Committee meets only every two months however the work is vital to promote donations from our members, seek commercial sponsorship from our industries and encourage legacies and other gifts for the Trust’s funds. A new Chairman, Assistant Christopher Walkinshaw will chair the Committee from 1st September and we are looking for members interested in this vital work to join the team and support him.

Our brilliant Secretary is Freeman Abbie Carr, a professional fundraiser, and we have company heavy weights on the Committee in the form of IPM Stephen Fitz-Gerald, PM Julian Leach, PM Graham Cole, Junior Warden Eric Wallbank and Membership Committee Chair Sir Kevin Leeson. We also enjoy the support of Honorary Assistant Lesley Upham and IT whizz Liveryman John Fuggles.
