Pebble Beach Concours

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance has for many years been seen as the top concours worldwide. To have a car accepted for entry is an accolade, to win your class is a major achievement, whilst any car that wins ‘Best of Show’ enters a pantheon of the world’s greatest collector cars.

Well, this year Liveryman Sir Michael Kadoorie won with his 1931 Bentley 8-litre Gurney Nutting Sports Tourer, a perfect winner in Bentley’s Centenary Year. Sir Michael has been a competitor and supporter of Pebble Beach for many years, and has had a few nominations for Best of Show, but this is his first win.

The Bentley was restored over a decade ago for the previous owner by Liverymen Paul and Andrew Wood of Great Dunmow, Essex. We send our congratulations to Sir Michael, and to Paul and Andrew Wood.
