Key data on Livery philanthropy published
Livery Companies and Guilds have responded to an annual Philanthropic Giving survey run by the Pan Livery Initiative, writes Honorary Assistant David Barrett. The intention is to conduct an annual survey gathering information of philanthropic activity and the most recent survey ran in late 2021 produced a lengthy report published by the Pan Livery Steering Group last May.
In order to make the key data more widely available The Livery Committee decided that a summary of the results of Livery giving, in terms of grants and volunteering, should be published as a small leaflet that can be easily distributed. Hard copies of the leaflet were first distributed on the seats at Common Hall on 24th June.
A PDF copy of the leaflet is available to download at:
https://www.liverycommittee.org/livery-committe-publishes-charitable-endeavours-leaflet/.
A limited supply of printed leaflets is also available, courtesy of the Corporation, and these will appear at Livery Halls and other City locations.
The leaflet delivers the message that the Livery is an enormous force for good. Impressively we are collectively the sixth largest charitable grant making group in the UK.
Do share this leaflet with anyone interested in the Livery, especially if they are keen to join the Coachmakers’ Company.
