From the Master’s desk

We are always interested to know what our fellow Liverymen are up to and so it was lovely when Simon and I received our October copy of The Automobile magazine, to find an article about the original Rolls Royce Silver Ghost written by the Coachmakers’ archivist, Liveryman David Burgess-Wise with Liveryman Georgina Wood, Managing Director of P&A Wood photographed on the front cover driving this important and iconic car.

Being that Georgina is the only female to date to have had the honour to drive the 24-litre, 580bhp Napier Railton aero engined race car at Brooklands, this was possibly more like driving a pussy cat!

The Automobile is the only magazine in the world specialising in pre-1960 motor cars.
