Freeman Chris Mann hosts his annual classic car get together

On a less than blistering Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon Freeman Chris Mann invited Coachmakers, friends and general car nuts to gather at his home in Hertfordshire to mull over and compare notes about the various cars they share their lives with.

Of the 135 guests, 60 or so arrived in style in vehicles from many decades and marques. During the afternoon, the owners took a steady stream of passengers for spins in the surrounding countryside, while the rest of us enjoyed delicious paella and salad.

For those who did not bring one of the gorgeous cars on display we contributed to Chris’s 2024 charities of choice: the local Scouts, and the Long Marston Horticultural Society, plus, well over £1,600 was raised for the village hall refurbishment fund.

According to Chris, “A testament to the generosity of our guests and our best ever result.”
