The Coachmaking and Carriage Driving Awards Dinner ‘coming home’

10th July @ 6:45 pm10:45 pm

£140.00

Members may be aware that the Coachmakers’ Company used to own a hall of our own, sadly destroyed in a WWII air raid in 1940. The hall was situated in Noble Street just off London Wall, and on the corner of Oat Lane. The current Pewterers’ Hall in Oat Lane is built on land that used to be the Coachmakers’ stables at the rear of the hall and abutting what was the Church of St Mary Staining. How fitting it is for our equestrian themed dinner.

To this end, this year the Master has given our summer event a subtitle of “The Coming Home Dinner”. Our spectacular guest speaker, Sir Andrew Parmley KStJ, is well-known across the City and his knowledge of the workings and heritage of the square mile is second-to-none. His speeches are always well-informed and hugely entertaining; definitely not one to miss.

The Master Coachmaker hopes that you will enjoy returning to this hallowed turf, hosted by the Pewterers’ Company.

Come and join the Master Coachmaker and friends from across the Coachmaker family on Thursday 10th July 2025 at Pewterers’ Hall, commencing at 6.45pm.
