- This event has passed.
In his other life our Master has been instrumental in securing a large proportion of the funding for the refurbishment and expansion of the RAF Museum at Hendon. We are therefore privileged to secure an inaugural visit to the new exhibition.
For the formal part of the tour, we have engaged the services of two museum guides.
The Royal Air Force Museum will be opening three new state-of-the-art exhibitions. The First 100 Years of the RAF exhibition will tell that story through displays of iconic aircraft, collection items and interactive displays which will not only highlight information about the aircraft themselves but also the people who flew them and the crews that kept them in the air, all wrapped up in historical context.
The Now and the Future exhibition is a highly interactive space which explores the innovations of the RAF including virtual reality, drones and cyberspace. Lastly the Age of Uncertainty exhibition tells the story of the RAF from the Falklands to the Gulf War and will display aircraft from the Tornado to the Eurofighter Typhoon, also alongside fantastic collection items which add a human element to the stories.
Liverymen and guests are welcome.
