Private tour of the Inner Temple Gardens and Temple Church

4th June 2024 @ 4:00 pm8:00 pm

A wonderful chance to see one of London’s greatest hidden gems, steeped in history but still serving a key function. The Inner Temple has existed since the 14th century and, with the other Inns of Court, holds the exclusive right to call students to practise law at the Bar of England and Wales.

Guests will enjoy a private tour of the Inner Temple Gardens, guided by Head Gardener, Sean Hankin, followed by some time to enjoy the gardens at leisure. First laid out in 1601, the gardens are an oasis of peace between Victoria Embankment and Fleet Street. The three-acre site includes sweeping lawns, spectacular herbaceous borders, and many unusual and ancient trees.

Afterwards, there will be private bespoke tour and talk about the Temple Church. The Temple Church is one of the most historic and beautiful churches in London. Built by the Knights Templar, the earliest part was consecrated in 1185 by the patriarch of Jerusalem. This is sure to be fascinating.

For those who wish to round off the evening in style, there will be a self-funded dinner in the Inner Temple’s Pegasus Restaurant.

The running order will be as follows:
Tour of Garden with Head Gardener 16:00
Tour of Church with Guide 18:00
Depart or dinner at Pegasus Restaurant 19.00

Tickets are priced at £37.50 per person, excluding dinner.
Dress code: Smart casual
