Airlander takes 100+ passengers, for up to five days of flight endurance, with no need for roads or runways, produces ultra-low emissions, can be used in mobility, logistics, communications and surveillance roles to connect the unconnected. Is this the future of manned aviation?
To find out more about the past, present and future for Hybrid Air Vehicles, join the Coachmakers for a private tour and presentation at Hybrid Air Vehicles’ Technology Centre, Bedford.
The visit will comprise a technical presentation explaining Airlander, followed by a tour of the facility which includes artefacts from the flight demonstrator and a mock-up of the future cabin. The hull of the demonstrator was lost in a ground incident and the envelope has been dismantled and disposed of, but a number of the major assemblies: the payload module (fuselage), the propulsors and some other elements remain. These will be on show as part of the visit.
The visit will be followed by a self-funded lunch.
