The new livery year will commence on 2nd September 2019 (the first weekday after the 1st of September) as it has done for the past 342 years since King Charles II graciously bestowed upon the Coachmakers’ Company its Royal Charter on 31st May 1677. The Election Court Meeting and Installation will be held at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall and owing to the space available will be attended this year only by Court Members and their immediate family.
However, following the Court Meeting a Service of Thanksgiving, led by our own Honorary Chaplain, Honorary Court Assistant the Venerable Ray Pentland CB, will be held at St James, Garlickhythe after which the newly installed Master Coachmaker will lead the Court and guests back to Tallow Chandlers’ Hall for the Election Court Dinner.
Members of the wider Livery and guests are invited to join the Court for the Service of Thanksgiving and the subsequent dinner.
The numbers are very limited due to the size and capacity of Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, therefore please book early to avoid disappointment.
