Join the Clerk for a Royal Navy Wardroom-style Mess Dinner in the exclusive Members’ Dining Room of the Guildhall on Wednesday 14th June 2023, the 41st anniversary of the end of the fighting in the Falklands Conflict of 1982.
Following last year’s Banquet, the Clerk was invited to talk to the Royal British Legion Branch in Nayland, Essex, about his personal experiences in the Falklands in 1982.
To do this he wheeled out a presentation that he delivered at the Tangmere Aviation Museum in 2012 for an event to mark the 30th anniversary of the Conflict, added some additional slides and some interesting material that had only recently been re-discovered and simply started talking.
After 40 minutes the audience was given the option to conclude the evening but they were keen for him to continue for a further 20 minutes and he has been invited back later in the year to tell them more.
The aim of this event is to provide Coachmakers and their guests with an entertaining and informative evening and at the same time raise a little financial support for the Coachmakers’ 350+ Fund.
