A visit has been arranged to both the Commando Helicopter Force (CHF) based at RNAS Yeovilton in Somerset and HMS BULWARK, alongside in Devonport Dockyard.
It is expected that individual Coachmakers who sign up to this visit will travel in their own vehicles or share with others who are attending. Please also note that due to limited availability, this visit is restricted to Liverymen and Freemen of the Coachmakers’ Company only.
The programme for the visit is as follows:
Wednesday 17th November
1300 – Arrive Main Gate RNAS Yeovilton having taken lunch independently en route
1305 – Security and Covid protocols
1330 – Visit to CHF commences
1630 – Depart RNAS Yeovilton for Devonport
1830 – Arrive at the Plymouth East Premier Inn, 300 Plymouth Road, Crabtree, Plymouth, PL3 6RW
1930 – An informal supper will be taken on site or at an alternative venue in the City tbc
Thursday 18th November
0830 – Depart Premier Inn
0900 – Arrive Camels Head Dockyard Main Gate
0905 – Security and Covid protocols
0930 – Visit to HMS BULWARK commences
1200 – Visit concludes; proceed to Wardroom HMS DRAKE (shore establishment) for lunch
1400 – Depart Devonport Dockyard and disperse
The cost for the event is £92.50 per person for bed and breakfast at the Premier Inn. The cost of the supper on the night of 17th November and lunch on the 18th of November will be retrospectively recovered on a pro rata basis.
