Celebrating 55 years of creating iconic designs in gold
You are invited to join the Master on Thursday 29th October to hear Leo de Vroomen talking about his career creating exquisite jewellery, exploring his design process and manufacturing techniques. The evening is set to be fascinating to both lovers of fine jewellery, and aficionados of exceptional design and craftmanship.
Leo has a longstanding link to the Coachmakers, having designed and crafted the Award to Industry trophy, and was present at its first presentation in July 1972. He is an Honorary Liveryman of Goldsmiths.
Leo is a true expert in his field and internationally renowned. His creations surpass the boundaries of jewellery, becoming wearable art. Leo’s creative edge is driven by the constant development of new ideas, the search for ever changing forms and exquisite colour combinations.
During the hour Leo will take us through his creative process, exploring the journey from the conception of form, through the evolution of design, to the mechanics of realising it all in 18ct gold. Leo has kindly offered to answer questions raised in advance and, time permitting, on the evening.
