Bugatti is one of the most renown names in automotive history. Founded in 1909 in the then German city of Molsheim in the Alsace by the Italian born Ettore Bugatti, the company produced cars celebrated for their design, beauty and race victories. Only some 8,000 cars were produced and after Ettore died in 1947 only one last model was produced in the 1950s. The Bugatti Trust was formed in 1987 by H G Conway CBE to preserve the works of Ettore, and his eponymous son has very kindly agreed to lead us on a virtual tour of the Museum and Study centre, which includes cars, models, sculptures, drawings, photographs and some fascinating videos covering Bugatti’s work, not only in cars but also in aviation and, little known, in coachmaking. He will be accompanied by Angela Hucke, Curator of the Trust.
Our compere for the evening will be Court Assistant Richard Haycocks
The 60 minute experience comprises:
• Introduction by the Master – a Bugatti owner, enthusiast and Trustee of the Bugatti Trust.
• A 30 minute virtual tour of the Bugatti Trust led by Coachmakers’ Freeman and Chairman of the Trust, Hugh Conway.
• A concluding 20-25 minute question and answer session
The event will be hosted by Zoom. The Zoom meeting room will open at 1750hrs and the event will start at 1800hrs.
Ticket Price is £10 per screen which will be donated to the Coachmakers’ Charitable Trust fund.
