You are invited to join the Master on Tuesday 15th September to commemorate Battle of Britain Day with Group Captain Emily Flynn OBE ADC RAF, Station Commander, RAF Brize Norton.

Battle of Britain Day is the day on which the entire Battle of Britain is remembered and it was chosen because on 15th September 80 years ago the RAF claimed a decisive victory in a large-scale aerial battle that took place across the south of England as the Luftwaffe embarked on an all-out attack against London. Around 1,500 aircraft took part in the individual air battles on the day and the fighting lasted until dusk.

This event will consist of an hour of reflection on the part played by RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. We shall be joined by the Station Commander who has generously agreed to discuss the history of the base and answer questions.

The evening will be hosted via Zoom by our very own Spitfire officiado, Past Master Tony Edwards and it will be wonderful way for the Coachmakers to share such an important occasion with our RAF affiliation.

There are just 20 tickets available for the evening.

The Zoom Meeting Room will open at 1745 hrs. 60 minutes of talk and questions will commence at 1800 hrs. The ticket price is £30 per e-mail address.

Please book here and the day before the event the Zoom access code will be sent to your nominated e-mail address.
