Eric Beverley winner shares appreciation

Steward Neil Sheath shares an encouraging LinkedIn post from one of our recent aerospace prize winners, Emmanuelle Rosati Azevedo, who was awarded the Eric Beverley Bursary. It is yet another public statement of how much our work, and your valuable donations to the charitable fund, are fully appreciated.

Emmanuelle writes:

Last year, The Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers honoured me with the award of the Eric Beverley Scholarship, named in memory of Eric Beverley CBE DFC – Commercial Director BAC Weapons Group, President of the Society of British Aerospace Companies and, in 1978, Master Coachmaker.

The scholarship award has provided key funding for experimental work within my thesis at Imperial College London, enabling my ambitions to provide high impact contributions to the field of spacecraft plasma propulsion.

Looking back on these events as we step into the New Year, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the support received from the Coachmakers.

More specifically, I would like to thank: Neil Sheath and Mark R. of the Aerospace Awards Committee for their passion and attentiveness while accompanying me through the application and post award process. Your work really has made a difference to me in my research work.

David Kynaston OBE for the fruitful scientific discussions during the interview.

Eric Wallbank for being such good company at October’s informal social (and especially for the precious perspectives on coeliac dining!).

Jeff Stow for being a perfect chaperone during the Aerospace Industry Dinner at which I was presented with the scholarship certificate.

And of course Master Coachmaker Steve Fitz-Gerald for leading the proceedings during the memorable dinner.
