Coachmakers on form at Kibworth

The third Coachmakers’ clay pigeon event was hosted by the brilliant staff that run Kibworth Shooting Ground, in Leicestershire on 28th February. The team met in the clubhouse for coffee and a decent bacon sandwich before heading out to shoot sporting clays.

The format of the day was to shoot some practice targets in the morning, followed by a competition in the afternoon. The group was split into two teams who shot six stands of various sporting targets, some being particularly challenging. The practice round was shot in still and sunny conditions, but during half-time refreshments the wind picked up for the afternoon’s competition, which took the form of 50 targets shot over six stands, with competent shooting skills being displayed given the conditions!

After shooting, lunch was taken at the Shoulder of Mutton in nearby Great Bowden. The day was enjoyed by all, leaving everyone keen for future events.

The team on the day comprised:
Alastair Boyes
John Boyes
Keith Green
Drew Green
Richard Robinson
Rakesh Sharma
Kevin Timms

The next Coachmakers clay pigeon shooting event will be the Inter-Livery Clay Shoot at Holland and Holland in Northwood, Middlesex on 19th May 2022. For more info please visit: interliveryshoot.com.
