Arkwright Awards’ scholar completes work experience at RVL Aviation
Pranay Shah, one of our Arkwright Awards’ scholars sponsored by the Coachmakers, has recently completed a week’s work experience at RVL Aviation at East Midlands Airport. Pranay clearly impressed the team at RVL – the following report from Jackie Welburn, head of HR, says it all:
“I wanted to write to tell you that Pranay’s work shadowing this week at RVL has completed and I have just waved him off full of smiles along with his family who stayed locally to RVL all this week.
“Pranay was a pleasure to host, so talented and engaged with everything we involved him with. The feedback on him from all involved was so positive.
“I will be keeping in touch with Pranay in the future to assist him with his next career choices.”
It is great to see these young people so positive and engaged in engineering at a young age, writes Liveryman Andrew Blatherwick. I am sure Pranay has a very bright future ahead. We will keep in contact with him and hope that one day he will become a distinguished engineer and Coachmaker.
Sincere thanks to Jackie, Rich Baker COO and the whole team at RVL for making Pranay so welcome and giving him such a wonderful work experience. I would also like to thank Liverymen Dave Connor and John Blauth for their introduction and help in organising the opportunity.
We are always looking for work experience opportunities for our award winners, if anyone is able to help by offering such an experience in their company please do let me know at a.blatherwick@btconnect.com.
