A promotion for Craft Freeman Emma

Apprentice Emma Wilding been promoted to Vehicle Safety Engineer on the Jaguar Land Rover Higher Apprenticeship Scheme.

“While working as an apprentice at Jaguar Land Rover, I got involved with the Coachmakers in 2016, helping to promote the JLR Coachmaker Scholarship at the Livery Schools Link Showcase. After the event I was invited to attend the Automotive Industry Dinner and later that year I joined the Coachmakers as a Craft Freeman,” says Emma.

This promotion comes as she completes her six-year degree apprenticeship. During the apprenticeship Emma studied for a degree, foundation degree, and additional qualifications including National Vocational Qualifications.

“In my everyday working life, I am now a qualified engineer, which means I am taking on much more responsibility, currently working across five vehicle lines. While on my Apprenticeship I completed placements around the business and I am now able to take this knowledge back to my home department of Vehicle Safety.” Congratulations, Emma.
