A visit has been arranged to YASA Ltd, winner of this year’s Award to Industry. YASA is the brainchild of Dr Tim Woolmer, who conceived the idea for a revolutionary new electric motor while completing his PhD at Oxford. In 2021 the company was acquired by Mercedes-Benz.
