In order to enable the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation to celebrate the impact businesses in London and beyond are making to society, the annual Dragon Awards seek to inspire businesses to act responsibly and benefit their communities by showcasing best practice in how businesses tackle social issues.

The Awards are free to enter and are open to businesses large and small across the UK to tell their story and demonstrate how their organisation improves and empowers people’s lives.

During the past 32 years, the Awards and its applicants have had a remarkable legacy of social good, reaching over 11 million people, mobilising 200,000 volunteers and providing a quarter billion pounds in donations and in-kind support.

There are six categories open to UK private sector businesses and public bodies and one category open to charities, schools, community groups and social enterprises to apply.

Further information on the categories and eligibility can be found at www.dragonawards.org.uk and applications will be open from Monday 18th February to Tuesday 16th April 2019.

The Lady Mayoress has asked us to help promote the Awards among Liverymen of the Coachmakers Company and their friends and colleagues.

If you would like to receive a communications pack to help promote the awards to your network, or would like to discuss a potential application, please contact Becky Jacobi on DragonAwards@cityoflondon.gov.uk  or 020 7332 1762. She is very happy to arrange a meeting to discuss the Awards.
