Master’s message – reflecting on a month of sadness

Despite glittering City of London activity and events, first rate Livery Committee events and the chance for one of our apprentices to meet HRH The Princess Royal, the month of May has been tragically sad. On 12th May more than 25 Coachmakers including IPM Sarah and her Consort Liveryman Simon Diffey paid their respects at Past Master Gerry Bunn’s funeral. Who could have ever imagined that Simon would be tragically killed two days later in a road traffic accident.

As a mark of respect, all details of my full diary for the past four weeks will be covered in next months Coachlines, after we have held the Banquet to pay tribute to those who served and supported the Falklands Task Force of 1982.
