Coachmakers golf fixtures announced for 2024

Captain of Golf, Assistant Graeme Hunt has announced the following Livery golf fixtures in the coming months, and he would be very grateful to see more Coachmakers joining his merry band.

The Duchess of Gloucester Cup at The New Zealand Golf Club, Nr. Byfleet, Surrey on Tuesday 9th April

The day is as usual, shared with the Leathersellers and any guests are also most welcome to join us. The cost covers two rounds of golf and lunch. We will know more later when we hear from the club.

This really is a special occasion and all Coachmakers, whatever your current golfing capabilities are, can participate and there is no number limitation for this annual fixture.

The Prince Arthur Cup at Walton Heath on Thursday 16th May

For this event we are looking to field a team of four Coachmakers to represent the Company at the Livery Companies’ Golfing Society’s annual event. The day consists of two rounds of 18 holes. Graeme will select the team from available players.

Leathery Livery Golf Day at Royal Wimbledon on Thursday 13th June

This year we are extremely lucky to have arranged a visit to The Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, one of the best courses in the country and virtually impossible to arrange a game there, so we do hope you are able to put your name forward. We will field a team of four Coachmakers to play against the Girdlers, Leathersellers, Curriers, Cordwainers, Saddlers, and Glovers with each Company having two pairs battling for the extensive prizes and the honour of organising next year’s event. The cost of the day will be advised. Our Captain will choose the team from available players.

The Coachmakers’ and Leathersellers’ autumn day at Tandridge Golf Club on Thursday 26th September

This is our annual end of summer meeting where we play 18 holes in the morning and an afternoon round is optional. The cost per player again will be advised when known which will include green fees, bacon rolls and coffee on arrival and a four-course carvery lunch. This is a lovely course and it has always been a very convivial day.

Graeme would be grateful to hear from you if you are able to join us or are willing to be considered for selection when he fields the Coachmakers’ team for any of the above fixtures. Please email Graeme on mail@graemehunt.com or to his trusted ‘vice’, Liveryman Alex Wrighton on awrighton@norwood7.co.uk, confirming your current handicap, club etc. We hope as many of you as possible will be able to play on some if not all these dates.
