Coachmakers at the coalface: Livery Schools Link 2019

Our active involvement with Livery Schools Link steps up a gear or two this year, following the Lord Mayor’s wishes.

Rather than a one day event, LSL Careers Showcase this year will be an integral part of the City Corporation’s programme – Bridges to Business.

This is a major careers initiative, under the aegis of the Corporation, which will act as facilitator to bring together the LSL showcase and the Stationers’ Apprentice Fair under one roof, together with other new activities.

The Guildhall has been booked for 18-19 June and there will be a Showcase and Apprentice Fair on each of these two dates. Activities that week include an Employers Day at locations in the City, details of which will be announced separately.

For the Coachmakers, the current Showcase will be on two days:

Tuesday 18th June (Primary) 0930 to 1330

Wednesday 19th June (Secondary) 0930 to 1600

The Old Library, Print Room and Livery Hall, Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2V 7HH

The aim is to encourage all the students who attend – more than 1,000 booked thus far – to believe in themselves and understand that there is a wide range of career possibilities available to them. We want to engage students and their teachers in conversation, and our on-stand activity, which this year will be robot building and racing. Our grateful thanks to the staff and students who run the Kingston University Saturday Club – one of our key supported projects.

Several of our award winners and members of Coachmakers Connect will be with us for support and all Liverymen are encouraged to pop in, say hello and witness your Livery in action, actively supporting young people.
