Behind the scenes at the M Shed in Bristol

On a recent visit to the M Shed in Bristol, a wonderful museum devoted to the history and people of the city, I had a chance to look behind the scenes at the museum.

It was an eclectic mix of heavy machinery and keepsakes from the various major city employers. And a coach. Being a Coachmaker I whipped out my phone to snap a picture of this forlorn specimen which was last used by the Mayor of Bristol for a Remembrance Day Parade. Having consulted with the Junior Warden Mark Broadbent, an expert on everything coaches, I can now identity the carriage as a Landau. If only I could have on the day.
