Aerospace Scholarships and Bursaries for 2023

The Coachmakers’ Aerospace Scholarships and Bursaries for 2023 are now open for applications. These awards are available to young people ideally under the age of 30, but also to people running heritage skills courses for people under the age of 30 to help fund those courses.

The university-based awards are available to support the students in many ways and recent awards have been successful in helping the young people carry out additional projects or research which have enhanced their studies, their thesis and consequently their employability, mainly by allowing them to reduce the part time employment they undertook and to concentrate on their studies and additional projects.

The engineering awards are very successful at helping young engineers to enhance their skills and career opportunities by funding licence qualification courses and courses to develop fabrication and classic hands-on skills. Recent recipients have been able to directly develop their careers and the awards have also supported small business by supporting their staff. One of our recent heritage skills awards was granted to Patryk Nelkowski who has used the funds to allow him to help the Navy Wings organisation who are good friends of the Coachmakers.

Please pass the information to your contacts and to your friends and their families as these funds can really make a difference to young people starting or developing their careers in engineering.

Details can be found on the attached flyer, or on the website page here.

The Aerospace Sub-Committee welcome suggestions for developing the awards, for publicising them and help in processing and assessing the applications. Please contact Steward Neil Sheath with any suggestions, ideas, offers of help or with any questions.
