A message from the Livery Committee
A glimpse into the world of coach restoration
We are so sorry to have been obliged to postpone or cancel so many of the events which our team have worked so hard to organise for your enjoyment. Hopefully, we will be able to reschedule some of these events in the future when this current nightmare is behind us.
We have, however, managed to persuade Assistant Mark Broadbent, a true Coachmaker in every sense of the word, to open the doors of his museum and restoration workshop at Fenix Carriages. Mark will escort us on a virtual tour of the fascinating coaches he has gathered together, giving us a glimpse of the intricate restoration work carried out by him and his team.
As a taster of what is to come, the link below will take you to an interview Mark gave to Carriage Driving magazine.
Thereafter, on a fortnightly basis, we will put a link in Coachlines for you to click and join Mark on a walk around various carriages and different aspects of the restorations and other work carried out at Fenix Carriages.
We would like to thank Mark and Joanna Broadbent most sincerely for the many hours of hard work they have put in preparing these videos on our behalf. We do hope you enjoy them.
Very best regards on behalf of the Livery Committee and do please keep well.
Bettine Evans
Chairman
