A look ahead to Coachmaker excursions
Join a party of 20 or so Coachmakers and guests, clinging to the cliffs at the Minack Theatre in south Cornwall, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean while listening to the most wonderful music. Sometime in May is the plan but we need expressions of interest to mike@michaelkimber.co.uk in order to start the ball rolling.
We also propose a visit to the coastguard station at Falmouth to learn about the fascinating work they do and see the team in action. We will combine this trip with the Minack visit if dates can be arranged.
Dates for your diary:
June looks set to be a busy Coachmaker month.
Join us at Smith’s Lawn in Windsor Great Park on 23rd June for The British Driving Society Awards. Bring a picnic and an interesting old car if you have one, and join your dedicated fellow Coachmakers on this fun day out watching the magnificent horses, carts, carriages and coaches competing while we get to know each other better. And, of course, the icing on the cake is that you just might get to see a senior member of the Royal family present the prizes along with our Master Coachmaker.
And then, only five days later on 28th June, we have a trip to Sandringham to watch the wonderful driving trials. A parade of coaches, led by Steward Mark Broadbent, President of the Driving Club of Great Britain, a chance to look around Sandringham House and the magnificent estate, followed by a delicious luncheon, all in the company of like-minded Coachmakers and guests. Sunshine will be on the menu so come along and enjoy a wonderful day. Assistant Bettine Evans will be atop one of the coaches so please wave frantically.

A small group have been invited by the Commissioner of the City of London Police to see how the team manages fraud investigations. No dates yet but we will keep you informed.
