APPOINTMENT OF NEW MASTER
Andrew M. Love has been appointed as The Master of the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers & Coach Harness Makers.
Trained as a Chartered Accountant, in 1981 he was appointed Managing Director of Dutton Forshaw, the second largest retail motor company in England when he was introduced to the Worshipful Company. He is now Chairman and Chief Executive at The Ritz Club and since 2004 has been the Deputy Chairman at The Ritz Hotel London. Andrew Love is a knowledgeable and experienced veteran of the Gaming & Hospitality Industry and since the 1960s he has held a number of key positions in the leisure business industry including Managing Director of the casino division at Ladbroke Group Plc where he was responsible for all overseas and UK developments. As the current Chairman of the Independent Casino Operators Association, he has been responsible for direct discussions with the government over new casino legislation.
He is a timeless fundraiser, for many organisations, a benefactor for Cancerbackup, a Governor of Queenswood School, and a joint Master of the Aldenham Harriers. He is also on the charitable committees of St James’s Conservation Trust and The St James’s Church Piccadilly Restoration Appeal.
He was recently decorated by His Majesty the King of Thailand with the Royal Decoration of Companion [fourth class] of The Most Admirable Order of Direkgunabhorn for services to the people of Thailand.
When free to indulge himself he enjoys tennis, cricket, football & music. His passion in life is his wife Amanda and their two children Alexandra & Anthony.
